Job summary

Peak School in Derbyshire is seeking an Intervention Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will work with teachers to provide individualised support for our pupils, helping them learn and engage in literacy, numeracy and the wider curriculum.

You will also support pupils to develop independence and manage social, emotional, and physical needs, with potential for personal care and assisting during community activities.

Qualifications

• Commitment to pupils, learning outcomes and values.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills.
• Desirable SEND experience, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualised support for pupils alongside teachers and staff.
• Support literacy, numeracy, communication and wider curriculum learning.
• Help pupils develop independence and manage social, emotional, sensory and physical needs.
• Occasionally assist with personal care and community learning activities.
