Job summary

H2O Recruitment & Training Services Limited is seeking an Internal Sales Engineer for its Leicester operation. This role blends engineering knowledge with customer interaction to specify solutions and prepare quotations for demanding industrial applications.

You will handle enquiries, interpret requirements, develop solutions, and pursue opportunities, while building relationships with OEMs, contractors and customers across the UK and beyond.

Qualifications

• Electrical/electronic/control engineering background with ability to interpret technical information.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, electrical specifications and customer requirements.
• Experience in a technical customer-facing role.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Interest in technical sales, customer relationship management and business development.

Responsibilities

• Handle technical customer enquiries by telephone, email and face-to-face.
• Understand and interpret customers' technical and commercial requirements.
• Develop preliminary technical solutions that can be costed and quoted.
• Prepare detailed quotations and tenders.
• Follow up quotations and convert enquiries into profitable orders.
• Provide pre-sales technical advice and product information.
• Build strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Attend occasional customer and site visits within the UK and internationally.
