Job summary

Premier Technical Recruitment Ltd in Leicester is seeking an experienced Internal Sales and Applications Engineer to join a professional technical sales team. Based in Enderby, you will be the frontline contact for customers, understanding requirements, producing preliminary designs and costed solutions to generate profitable business.

You will liaise between customers and Contracts/Engineering teams, handle enquiries, quotations and orders, and maintain up-to-date records while expanding

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in electrical or technical sales or applications engineering.
• HNC level or above (or QBE) in electrical/electronic/controls.
• Knowledge of MV/HV systems and batteries/generators is advantageous.
• Strong IT skills and MS Office proficiency for quotations and designs.
• Ability to read and interpret technical data and relay to customers.

Responsibilities

• Process customer enquiries via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions, including on-site visits.
• Interpret customer requirements and produce designs and costed solutions.
• Prepare quotations and tenders clearly and accurately.
• Follow up quotations to secure profitable orders.
• Maintain expert product knowledge and provide pre-sales technical support.
• Ensure orders are processed quickly and that information for design/manufacturing is passed to the relevant department.
• Keep customers informed of order status and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain records of enquiries, quotations, orders and activity.
• Pursue new business opportunities and support engineering and production teams.
