Job summary

H2O Recruitment is seeking an Internal Sales Engineer for its Leicester operation. The role combines technical problem-solving with customer-facing support, interpreting specifications, and costed quotations for demanding industrial applications.

You'll manage enquiries from initial contact to quotation and order, developing effective solutions and ensuring smooth handover to Engineering and Production. Occasional UK and international visits are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical sales or customer-facing engineering
• Understanding of electrical engineering concepts
• Ability to read and interpret technical information
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Willingness to travel UK and internationally

Responsibilities

• Handle technical enquiries by phone, email and face-to-face
• Interpret technical and commercial requirements
• Develop preliminary technical solutions for costing and quoting
• Prepare detailed quotations and tenders
• Follow up quotations and convert opportunities into orders
• Provide pre-sales technical advice and product information
• Build long-term relationships with customers
• Attend UK and international site visits
