Job summary

Confidential in Leicester is seeking an Internal Sales and Applications Engineer to join a professional sales team. The role front-lines with customers, handling technical enquiries, developing solutions and generating profitable orders.

You will work between customers and engineering teams, leveraging MV/HV knowledge, and you should have at least two years in electrical sales or applications engineering, with an HNC or higher. On-site role with UK market norms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in electrical or technical sales or applications engineering.
• Qualified to HNC level or above (or QBE) in electrical, electronic or controls engineering.
• Knowledge of MV and HV systems, batteries and generators is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries via telephone, email, and in person.
• Interpret customer requirements and design costed solutions.
• Prepare timely quotations and respond to tenders.
• Follow up quotations to secure profitable orders.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and provide pre-sales technical support.
• Ensure orders are processed accurately and pass information to design/manufacturing teams.
• Keep customers informed of order status and resolve issues quickly.
• Maintain records of enquiries, quotations and activity.
• Pursue new business opportunities and build relationships with customers.
