Job summary

Gill Cooke Personnel Ltd T/A The Recruitment Group is recruiting an Internal Sales Executive to join a leading supplier to the construction and building materials sector in Witney. You will manage existing customer accounts, develop new business and deliver excellent customer service.

You will work closely with warehouse and external sales teams, prepare quotations, identify opportunities for additional sales and help drive targets in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or customer service roles.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Numeracy and IT proficiency with CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Managing existing customer accounts to maximise sales and profitability.
• Identifying and developing new business opportunities and opening new accounts.
• Building strong customer relationships through telephone and face-to-face contact.
• Processing customer orders accurately using the CRM system.
• Preparing quotations and identifying opportunities for additional sales.
• Proactively contacting lapsed customers and potential new customers.
• Promoting the full range of products and services across the group.
• Working closely with warehouse and external sales teams to ensure orders are fulfilled efficiently.
• Supporting credit control and other internal departments when required.
• Providing support on the trade counter when needed.

• Experience within construction, building materials or a related distribution environment would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
• Good numeracy and IT skills.
• A proactive and target-driven approach.
• The confidence to identify sales opportunities and generate new business.
