Job summary

Hayley Dexis in West Thurrock is looking for an Internal Sales Executive to handle inquiries, quotes, and order processing. You'll be the face of our trade counter, assisting walk-in customers and supporting sales growth.

The role requires good negotiation and communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a customer-focused mindset. We offer 23 days’ leave, life assurance, pension, healthcare schemes, and training through the Hayley Academy.

Qualifications

• Experience in internal sales or customer service is advantageous.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills are essential.
• Knowledge of MRO/Engineering products is ideal, but full training will be provided.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with strong organisational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incoming enquiries and customer queries.
• Process orders and prepare accurate quotations.
• Proactively follow up on outstanding enquiries and upsell where possible.
• Support walk-in customers at the trade counter and provide expert knowledge.

About the Internal Sales Executive role:

You’ll be undertaking tasks such as responding to incoming enquiries, responding to customer queries and processing orders. Expect to be on the phone as well as being the face of our trade counter, providing expert knowledge and assistance to any walk-in customers. You’ll proactively follow up on outstanding customer enquiries, prepare accurate quotations, and look for opportunities to upsell and add value.

What we’re looking for in our Internal Sales Executive:

• Knowledge of MRO/Engineering products is ideal, but full training will be provided
• Prior internal sales experience or experience within a customer service / administrative environment.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Self-motivated, with strong organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
