Job summary

Hayley Group in Seaham is seeking an Internal Sales Executive to handle customer enquiries, quotes, and orders at the trade counter. You will respond to inquiries by phone and in person, providing expert product knowledge and excellent service.

Experience in internal sales or customer service is valued, with training provided. A proactive, self-motivated candidate who can work independently or as part of a team will thrive in this role at our Seaham branch.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of MRO/Engineering products is ideal, but full training will be provided.
• Prior internal sales experience or experience within a customer service / administrative environment.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with strong organisational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incoming enquiries, respond to customer queries and process orders.
• Be the face of the trade counter, assisting walk-in customers with expert knowledge.
• Proactively follow up on outstanding inquiries, prepare accurate quotations, and upsell where possible.
• Work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

About the Internal Sales Executive role:

You'll be undertaking tasks such as responding to incoming enquiries, responding to customer queries and processing orders. Expect to be on the phone as well as being the face of our trade counter, providing expert knowledge and assistance to any walk-in customers. You'll proactively follow up on outstanding customer enquiries, prepare accurate quotations, and look for opportunities to upsell and add value.

We're looking for someone confident and proactive, who isn't afraid to get stuck into a range of tasks. You'll have prior experience in internal sales as well as ideally a background in engineering or manufacturing, but we are open to cross-over sectors. Some experience with procurement would be highly advantageous.
