Job summary

Hayley Dexis in Exeter, Devon, is seeking an Internal Sales Executive to handle enquiries, answer questions, and process orders with a proactive, customer-first approach.

You will be the face of our trade counter, providing expert knowledge to walk-in customers and following up on enquiries. Knowledge of MRO/Engineering products helps, but full training is provided; strong negotiation and communication skills are essential.

• Knowledge of MRO/Engineering products is ideal; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incoming enquiries and customer queries; process orders.
• Be the face of the trade counter, assisting walk-in customers with expert knowledge.
• Proactively follow up on outstanding enquiries and prepare accurate quotations.
• Look for upsell opportunities and add value wherever possible.
• Work well in a busy, fast-paced environment, managing tasks efficiently.

We’re excited to offer a brilliant opportunity for an Internal Sales Executive to make a real impact based in Exeter.

About the role:

You’ll be undertaking tasks such as responding to incoming enquiries, responding to customer queries and processing orders. Expect to be on the phone as well as being the face of our trade counter, providing expert knowledge and assistance to any walk-in customers. You’ll proactively follow up on outstanding customer enquiries, prepare accurate quotations, and look for opportunities to upsell and add value.

We’re looking for someone confident and proactive, who isn’t afraid to get stuck into a range of tasks. You’ll have prior experience in internal sales as well as ideally a background in engineering or manufacturing, but we are open to cross-over sectors.

What we’re looking for in our Internal Sales Executive:

• Knowledge of MRO/Engineering products is ideal, but full training will be provided
• Prior internal sales experience or experience within a customer service / administrative environment.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Self-motivated, with strong organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
