Job summary

NFP People LTD is seeking an Internal Sales Engineer in Leicester to support the Medium Voltage team. You will manage technical enquiries, develop costed engineering solutions and prepare quotations and tenders to secure profitable orders.

The role requires strong electrical knowledge, customer-facing experience, and the ability to explain technical data clearly. Occasional UK and international site visits are expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a technical, customer-facing environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical data and explain solutions clearly to customers.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries by phone, email, and face-to-face.
• Interpret technical requirements and develop costed solutions.
• Prepare detailed quotations and tenders and drive them to order.
• Provide pre-sales technical expertise and product information.
• Process orders and liaise with Engineering, Contracts and Production teams.
• Keep customers informed and resolve issues throughout order process.
• Maintain accurate records of enquiries, quotations, orders and activity.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with customers and prospects.
• Occasionally travel within the UK and internationally for site visits.
