Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking an Internal Communications Manager, Group Content to lead the end-to-end development of strategic corporate content for our global internal audience. You will shape digital content across intranet, Viva Engage, digital screens, and company-wide email.

The role requires excellent writing, video/audio content know-how, and the ability to manage campaigns with senior leaders while collaborating across a matrixed organisation.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in communications, marketing and/or content creation within a large multinational FTSE 100 company or equivalent organisation.
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to produce engaging video and/or audio content.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple content campaigns end-to-end and to work with senior leaders.
  • Strong collaboration across a matrixed organisation and experience in coaching/agencies to deliver high-quality content.
  • Knowledge of and passion for engineering, aerospace or technology sector.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end development of strategic corporate content for Rolls-Royce's global internal audience.
  • Create digital content for internal channels (intranet, Viva Engage, digital screens, company-wide email).
  • Lead content for key strategic campaigns as agreed with the SVP Internal Communications.
  • Coordinate communications tactics across different internal channels with the wider team.
  • Maintain an internal corporate content calendar aligned to strategic objectives.

They will also have a deep understanding of the impact external communications can have to drive belief in our business strategy and as an employer of choice.What you will be doing:This newly created Internal Communications Manager, Group Content role will lead the end-to-end development of strategic corporate content for our global internal audience.Bring together digital content creation for our internal communications channels, e.g. intranet, Viva Engage, digital screens, company-wide email.Lead on content for a number of key strategic campaigns, as agreed with the SVP Internal Communications.Work with the wider communications team to advise on and execute effective communications tactics to reach our key audiences, coordinating execution across our different internal channels.Responsible for leading an internal corporate content calendar that:is in the service of our strategic communications objectives – prioritising the content that matters most and reducing the noise and distraction;best addresses specific and often multiple audience requirements; andremains relevant and engaging, not just in the ‘what’ but the ‘how’, i.e. through showcasing best-in-class creativity in content, format and delivery trends.The role holder will be expected to maintain a finger on the pulse through building and maintaining:an outstanding internal network (knowing who to go to for what); anda strong external network of content creators and trend-setters, to bring the very best industry practices to our own content creation strategy.Responsible for implementing the internal corporate content campaign strategy.Successful execution of this role will contribute to a greater understanding of – and advocacy for – Rolls-Royce’s strategy and commercial and cultural objectives among our 40,000+ colleagues.Preferred Requirements:The ideal candidate will have significant experience within communications, marketing and/or content creation within a large multi-national FTSE 100 company or equivalent organisation.Having a keen eye for what makes a good story in line with a company’s commercial and cultural objectives.
