Job summary

Lidl GB is seeking an experienced Internal Communications Associate Consultant to join our Corporate Affairs team at our Tolworth HQ. You’ll advise senior stakeholders and lead multiple communication plans to engage 34,000 colleagues, shaping Lidl GB’s internal narrative.

You’ll manage channels, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive data-informed improvements while enjoying a hybrid working model with office and home-based days.

Qualifications

• Experience within Internal Communications is essential.
• Strong understanding of strategic communications and long-term vision.
• Experience with retailers or big brands, Lidl’s role in retail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional creative writing with attention to brand voice and detail.
• Trusted advisor with integrity and discretion.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience designing and developing internal comm channels (events, intranets, podcasts, apps).
• Strong IT and design skills: PowerPoint/Slides, InDesign, Photoshop, Canva; video production is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of Lidl GB’s Internal Communications strategy.
• Provide expert counsel to stakeholders at all levels, including Board level.
• Plan and produce engaging content across channels aligned to Business and Corporate Affairs strategy.
• Develop and modernise channels (SharePoint intranet, app, Town Hall, digital screens).
• Improve reporting mechanisms; ensure data-driven recommendations.
• Support leadership events logistics and content (Town Hall).
• Collaborate with Corporate Comms, Engagement, and Employer Brand teams to deliver joined-up content.
• Stay abreast of internal comm developments and share ideas.
