Job summary

Forrest Recruitment Ltd in Salford is seeking an experienced Internal Account Manager to manage and develop an established customer base, working closely with a field-based sales team to build strong relationships and provide proactive support.

This role involves handling quotations, orders, forecasts and product inquiries, with a focus on retaining and growing the business in a busy team environment.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years' experience in an account management or executive customer service role.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of existing customer accounts, maintaining strong relationships and supporting customer retention.
• Liaise closely with field-based sales colleagues to coordinate customer activity, appointments and account development.
• Provide a proactive and responsive service to customers, handling enquiries and providing quotations within agreed timescales.
• Follow up on quotations and opportunities, with a focus on converting enquiries into business.
• Manage customer orders, forecasts, contracts, deliveries and any associated queries or issues.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and account information.
• Coordinate product samples and support customers with product-related enquiries.
• Handle customer complaints and work with internal teams to ensure issues are resolved promptly.
• Keep customers informed of relevant product changes, updates and discontinuations.
• Participate in customer meetings, sales meetings and occasional joint visits with field-based colleagues.
• Support wider team objectives and undertake other duties as required.
