Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join our London-based team on a hybrid basis. You will design HVAC and related mechanical systems for diverse building projects, performing calculations and producing technical reports.

You will collaborate with electrical engineers, architects and other consultants, contributing across design stages and site visits while developing your expertise toward Chartership if desired.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience designing HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with software such as Revit and AutoCAD.

We're working with a well-established engineering consultancy that has built a strong reputation for delivering practical, sustainable building services solutions across a broad range of sectors. Due to continued project wins and steady growth, they're looking to appoint an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join their expanding team.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Producing mechanical designs for a variety of building projects.
• Carrying out engineering calculations and preparing technical reports.
• Coordinating with electrical engineers, architects and other consultants.
• Attending design meetings and occasional site visits.
• Supporting projects through all stages of design and construction.
• Developing your technical knowledge while taking increasing ownership of your own work.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

• A degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience designing HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with software such as Revit, AutoCAD and industry design packages.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• The ambition to continue developing professionally, with support towards Chartership if desired.
