Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer in London to design mechanical systems for diverse building projects. You will perform calculations, prepare reports, and collaborate with electrical engineers and architects to ensure coordinated design solutions.

You will participate in design meetings, site visits when needed, and support projects through all stages, growing your technical knowledge and taking increasing ownership of your work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience designing HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with Revit and AutoCAD.

The Role

• Producing mechanical designs for a variety of building projects.
• Carrying out engineering calculations and preparing technical reports.
• Coordinating with electrical engineers, architects and other consultants.
• Attending design meetings and occasional site visits.
• Supporting projects through all stages of design and construction.
• Developing your technical knowledge while taking increasing ownership of your own work.

About You

• A degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience designing HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with software such as Revit, AutoCAD and industry design packages.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• The ambition to continue developing professionally, with support towards Chartership if desired.
