Job summary

Urban Planters is seeking an Interior Plant Maintenance Technician to cover the North West UK from the Chester Branch. The role is full-time (40 hours, Monday–Friday) with a salary of £26,700 and reports to the Team Leader.

You will maintain tropical plant displays across a varied client base, handling watering, feeding, pest control, and seasonal installations while upholding safety and service standards in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Plant knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Watering, feeding and pest control of live plant displays.
• Replacing dead or overgrown plants and maintaining displays.
• Maintain artificial plant displays.
• Assist with plant display installations and seasonal work.
• Complete maintenance dockets and paperwork promptly.
• Ensure health and safety compliance.
• Build good supplier and customer relationships.
• Be mindful of potential sales opportunities.

Position: Interior Plant Maintenance Technician

Location: Covering North West UK based out of Chester Branch

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Hours: 40 Hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary: £26,700

Reporting To: Team Leader

The Role

Working as a Interior Plant Maintenance Technician, you will carry out maintenance of tropical plants within a wide sector of businesses, ensuring the best possible service is provided to our ever growing customer base.

Your main duties will include:

• Watering, feeding and pest control of live plant displays

• Assist with plant display installations


• Assist with seasonal installations


• Ensure all maintenance dockets and documentation are completed


• Comply with relevant health and safety


• Building good supplier and customer relationships

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

• Full UK drivers licence


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills


• Able to work as part of a team


• Plant knowledge would be advantageous


• Qualification in Horticulture is desirable but is not essential


• Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous however full training will be provided

As part of your role, you will be required to;

• Always act in a professional manner as a representative of the organisation


• Comply with all relevant health and safety requirements


• Ensure that the clients are always completely satisfied


• Initiate suggestions to improve the organisations performance


• Complete timesheets and other paperwork and ensure all is handed in promptly
