Urban Planters is seeking an Interior Plant Maintenance Technician to service tropical displays across a broad client base. The role offers a busy, friendly team and good progression within a leading planting company.

You will maintain live and artificial displays, assist with installations and ensure health, safety and client satisfaction at all times. A full-time, permanent position in Greater London and Home Counties.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Plant knowledge advantageous.
• Horticulture qualification desirable but not essential.
• Experience in a similar role beneficial; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Watering, feeding and pest control of live plant displays.
• Replacing dead, dying or overgrown plant displays.
• Maintain artificial plant displays.
• Assist with plant display installations.
• Assist with seasonal installations.
• Ensure maintenance dockets and documentation are completed.
• Comply with health and safety requirements.
• Build good supplier and customer relationships.
• Be mindful of possible sales opportunities.

Job Description

Position: Interior Plant Maintenance Technician

Location: Greater London & Home Counties

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Hours: 40 Hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary: £29,200 p/a

Reporting To: Team Leader

The Role

Working as a Interior Plant Maintenance Technician, you will carry out maintenance of tropical plants within a wide sector of businesses, ensuring the best possible service is provided to our ever growing customer base.

Your main duties will include:

• Watering, feeding and pest control of live plant displays

• Ensure all maintenance dockets and documentation are completed
• Comply with relevant health and safety

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

• Full UK drivers licence
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work as part of a team
• Plant knowledge would be advantageous
• Qualification in Horticulture is desirable but is not essential
• Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous however full training will be provided

As part of your role, you will be required to:

• Always act in a professional manner as a representative of the organisation
• Comply with all relevant health and safety requirements
• Ensure that the clients are always completely satisfied
• Initiate suggestions to improve the organisations performance
• Complete timesheets and other paperwork and ensure all is handed in promptly
