Job summary

Urban Planters in Chester is seeking an Interior Plant Maintenance Technician to service tropical plant displays across a diverse client base. This 40-hour per week role (Mon–Fri) involves watering, feeding, pest control, replacing displays and assisting with installations within a busy team.

You will maintain plant displays and documentation, comply with health and safety, and contribute to strong supplier and customer relationships while exploring sales opportunities. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Full UK drivers licence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Plant knowledge would be advantageous.
• Qualification in Horticulture is desirable but not essential.
• Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Watering, feeding and pest control of live plant displays.
• Replacing dead, dying or overgrown plant displays.
• Maintain artificial plant displays.
• Assist with plant display installations.
• Assist with seasonal installations.
• Ensure maintenance dockets and documentation are completed.
• Comply with health and safety requirements.
• Build good supplier and customer relationships.
• Be mindful of possible sales opportunities.

Position: Interior Plant Maintenance Technician

Location:Chester

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Hours: 40 Hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary: £26,700

Reporting To: Team Leader

The Role

Working as a Interior Plant Maintenance Technician, you will carry out maintenance of tropical plants within a wide sector of businesses, ensuring the best possible service is provided to our ever growing customer base.
