Urban Planters in Kent, UK, is seeking an Interior Plant Maintenance Technician to maintain tropical plant displays across a wide range of client sites. The role focuses on watering, feeding, pest control, and replacing plants to keep installations looking their best.

You will join a friendly team, with full training provided where needed, and opportunities for progression in a growing organisation focused on quality and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Plant knowledge would be advantageous.
• Horticulture qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous with full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Watering, feeding and pest control of live plant displays.
• Replacing dead, dying or overgrown plant displays.
• Maintain artificial plant displays.
• Assist with plant display installations.
• Assist with seasonal installations.
• Ensure maintenance dockets and documentation are completed.
• Comply with health and safety requirements.
• Build good supplier and customer relationships.
• Be mindful of possible sales opportunities.

Position: Interior Plant Maintenance Technician

Location: Kent, UK

Contract: Part Time, Permanent

Hours: 24 Hours per week, Monday to Friday (3 day week)

Salary: £17,088 p/a

Reporting To: Team Leader

The Role

Working as a Interior Plant Maintenance Technician, you will carry out maintenance of tropical plants within a wide sector of businesses, ensuring the best possible service is provided to our ever growing customer base.

Your main duties will include:

• Watering, feeding and pest control of live plant displays

• Maintain artificial plant displays
• Assist with plant display installations
• Assist with seasonal installations
• Ensure all maintenance dockets and documentation are completed
• Comply with relevant health and safety
• Building good supplier and customer relationships

• Ensure that the clients are always completely satisfied
• Initiate suggestions to improve the organisations performance
• Complete timesheets and other paperwork and ensure all is handed in promptly
