Job summary

Investigo is seeking an SC Cleared Interim Head of IT Support for a public sector organisation in Southampton. This 6‑month initial contract is 3 days onsite, paying £650‑£700 inside IR35. You will own and stabilise the IT support function and drive service improvements.

The role requires hands‑on leadership, a strong track record in ITSM, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders while delivering results at pace.

Qualifications

• Active SC Clearance (mandatory).
• Proven leadership of an IT Support or Service Management function.
• Strong ITSM expertise across Incident, Problem, Change and Service Management disciplines.
• Track record of delivering service improvement, operational excellence and stakeholder engagement.
• Able to operate independently, influence senior stakeholders and deliver results at pace.

Responsibilities

• Lead the IT Support function, including Service Desk, Incident, Problem and Asset Management.
• Take ownership of service delivery, operational performance, customer relationships and escalations.
• Drive improvements across ITSM processes, governance and service management maturity.
• Lead preparation for an upcoming SDI audit, ensuring readiness and improvement activity.
• Support the rollout of a new ITSM platform, helping shape processes, adoption and operational readiness.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and improve customer experience across the organisation.
