Job Title: Interim Registered Manager Adults (Multi-Site - Learning & Disability, Autism, Complex Mental Health, Physical Disabilities)

Location: 4 site , 4-bed and single-occupancy services Milton Keynes & Amsersham.

The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Interim Registered Manager to provide immediate leadership and operational oversight across a portfolio of our client's learning disability, complex mental health, and physical disability services. These services include both 4-bed residential settings and single-occupancy supported living environments.

This role is critical for driving immediate improvements and ensuring services meet and exceed CQC regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in service turnaround and a deep understanding of best practices in complex care. Key Responsibilities:

  • Service Turnaround & Improvement:

    • Conduct rapid service assessments to identify areas requiring immediate improvement.
    • Develop and implement robust action plans to address CQC compliance issues and improve service quality.
    • Drive significant improvements in safeguarding, medication management, care planning, and staff competency.
    • Lead and embed a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and person-centred care.
    • Ensure all services operate effectively and efficiently, optimizing resource utilization.
  • Operational Management:

    • Assume full responsibility for the day-to-day operational management of assigned services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective care.
    • Ensure all services operate in full compliance with CQC regulations, relevant legislation, and internal policies and procedures.
    • Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and positive behaviour support strategies, ensuring they are person-centred and regularly reviewed.
    • Manage budgets effectively, ensuring financial sustainability of services.
  • Leadership & Management:

    • Provide strong, visible leadership to multidisciplinary teams, fostering a positive and supportive working environment.
    • Recruit, train, motivate, and manage care staff, promoting continuous professional development.
    • Conduct regular supervisions and appraisals, addressing performance issues promptly and effectively.
    • Promote effective communication and collaboration across all levels of the service and with external stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Build and maintain excellent relationships with service users, their families, and advocates.
    • Work collaboratively with external professionals, including CQC, local authorities, health professionals, and commissioning bodies.
    • Represent the organization professionally and effectively in all interactions.

Essential Experience & Qualifications:

Proven experience as a CQC Registered Manager within multi-site learning disability, complex mental health, and/or physical disability services.

Demonstrable experience in service turnaround, including successfully improving CQC ratings and addressing compliance issues.

In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding principles, and best practices in complex care.

NVQ Level 4 or Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Adults) or equivalent.

Strong understanding of positive behaviour support, challenging behaviour, and trauma-informed care.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work autonomously, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple demands.

Full UK Driving License and access to a vehicle is essential due to the multi-site nature of the role.

Desirable Attributes:

Experience with single-occupancy and 4-bed residential settings.

Ability to hit the ground running and quickly assimilate into new environments.

Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
