Job summary

Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult seeks an Interim Procurement Buyer/Officer to support purchasing on a 12-month fixed-term basis. The role can be based at London, Stevenage or Braintree facilities and involves liaising with site stakeholders to meet evolving business needs.

Responsibilities include applying procurement procedures, managing POs, supplier onboarding, ERP maintenance (SAP ByDesign), tendering, and contract renewals, with a focus on cost efficiency and risk management.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing/procurement in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiar with PCR2015, Procurement Act 2023 and supplier collab.
• Experience negotiating contracts and renewals with suppliers.
• Ability to analyse procurement data and manage SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Apply procurement policies and promote best practice on-site.
• Create and monitor purchase orders; process requisitions promptly.
• Assist supplier onboarding and ensure policy compliance.
• Maintain ERP data and supplier databases in SAP ByDesign.
• Manage stock trackers and weekly ERP uploads.
• Lead end-to-end tenders and RFQ processes; oversee high-value projects.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and risk assessments before approvals.
• Support contract renewals; coordinate with finance for monthly reporting.
