Job summary

Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult is seeking an Interim Procurement Buyer/Officer to support purchasing on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role offers London (Guy's hospital) and potential relocation to Stevenage or Braintree facilities, with ERP responsibilities and supplier onboarding.

The role requires experience in procurement, adherence to PCR2015/Procurement Act 2023, and strong stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced procurement environments.
• Knowledge of procurement legislation (PCR2015, Procurement Act 2023) and supplier negotiations.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP ByDesign) and supplier onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Create and monitor purchase orders; process requisitions for materials, services and supplies.
• Maintain ERP data and supplier databases; ensure accurate recording and timely deliveries.
• Lead end-to-end procurement tenders and RFQs; manage high-value projects (>£30K) with compliance.
• Perform supplier evaluations, risk assessments and renewals; secure favorable terms and cost savings.
• Coordinate with finance for monthly procurement reporting and data reconciliation.
