Interim Middle Leader - Complex Needs Teaching (Autism)

Zusammenfassung

Brava Education is working with a special school in South West London supporting pupils with complex needs, who need an experienced Interim Middle Leader to join the school ASAP through to the end of the autumn term. The role is teaching-led, combining classroom teaching with wider leadership responsibilities within the phase, with around 3.5 to 4 days of teaching and 1 to 1.5 days of non-teaching leadership time.

This balance may shift further towards leadership.

Qualifikationen

• Strong classroom practitioner with specialist background.
• Experience in autism, SLD or SEMH settings.
• Confident supporting pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviour.
• Experience at Senior Teacher, Head of Department, or Middle Leader level.
• Knowledge of differentiated or semi-formal curricula.
• Familiarity with the Equals curriculum is desirable.
• Comfortable balancing teaching with leadership responsibilities.

Aufgaben

• Teach as part of the role while taking on leadership responsibilities.
• Contribute to development of teaching, learning and provision for highly complex pupils.
• Join the wider leadership team and support the phase.
