Job summary

Brava Education is partnering with a primary special school in the Thames Valley to appoint an experienced Interim Headteacher. The role is full-time, on-site five days a week, leading through a period of leadership change and focusing on pupils with SEMH needs and autism.

You will provide direction, stabilize day-to-day operations, review risk, and coach leaders new to their roles, while maintaining high standards of teaching and working with the Executive Headteacher and trust leaders on

Qualifications

• Experience leading a primary or SEMH/special school, with a clear track record of school improvement.
• Strong people skills with staff, pupils and families and a calm, visible leadership style.
• Sound judgement on risk and safeguarding; DSL experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear direction to staff and steady the day-to-day running of the school.
• Lead the school day-to-day, reviewing risks and strengthening practice where needed.
• Coach and mentor new leaders, holding them to account and maintaining high teaching standards.
• Collaborate with the Executive Headteacher and trust leaders on school priorities.
