Job summary

Consult in Leeds is recruiting an Interim Finance Consultant to join the North Leeds team. The role offers hybrid working with flexible hours or part-time options and an initial 3–4 month fixed-term contract with a day-rate option.

You will lead monthly management accounting reporting, margin analysis, PPV and standard costing, and collaborate with operations to improve financial reporting and processes.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified, qualified or qualified by experience.
• Experienced within a Management Accountant role.
• Comfortable working with large volumes of data.
• Strong on reconciliations and controls.
• Commercially curious.
• Confident using ERP systems and Excel.
• Enjoys investigating, questioning and improving.
• Natural at joining the dots.

Responsibilities

• Producing monthly management accounting information.
• Sales and margin reporting.
• Stock accounting, reconciliations and analysis.
• Standard costing and purchase price variance (PPV) analysis.
• Cash and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Investigating anomalies and helping improve reporting accuracy.
• Supporting month-end processes.
• Working closely with operational and commercial stakeholders.
• Identifying process improvements and finding smarter ways of doing things.
• Using multiple data sources and systems to ensure the numbers tell the right story.
