Interim Finance Consultant | North Leeds| £50,000-£60,000| 3-4 months day rate or FTC| Hybrid | Flexible Hours / School Hours or Part Time
Do unexplained variances bother you more than they probably should? We are looking for the sort of person who can't leave things alone when something doesn't stack up.
The person who spots something unusual in a report and immediately starts digging.
The person who enjoys connecting the dots, reconciling data from different sources and getting to the bottom of what's really driving the numbers.
If that's you, keep reading.
We're working on behalf of a highly successful, growing business looking to appoint a Management Accountant into a well-established finance team.
This isn't a replacement because somebody's fed up or running for the hills.
The current postholder has spent several successful years in the role and is now moving on to their next challenge, creating a rare opportunity to join a team where people tend to stay.
Even better, there will be a proper handover. That means time with the current incumbent, documented processes and the chance to get up to speed properly, rather than being thrown in at the deep end and hoping for the best.
You'll sit right in the middle of the numbers, taking ownership of key reporting and analysis across the business.
Your remit will include:
There's a fair amount of data, a fair amount of complexity and plenty of opportunities to add value.
You’ll enjoy this role if you like understanding what's happened, why it's happened and what could be done better.
We're deliberately being flexible on background.
The system experience is less important than the person.
You’ll likely be:
Refreshingly normal
A collaborative finance team
A flexible employer
No micromanagement
No politics
No expectation that you'll sit in an office five days a week just to prove you're working.
The business operates a hybrid model, but they're far more interested in output than presenteeism. For the right person, there is flexibility around hours and they'd happily consider someone looking for school hours or a reduced-hours arrangement, provided the role's key responsibilities are covered.
