Job summary

Ips Group is seeking an Interim Accountant for a 6-month contract in Leeds, hybrid role requiring 2 days in the office.

You will lead reconciliations, manage relationships with an outsourced finance provider, and own the month-end process including banking activities and journal postings. The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant who can escalate issues, create solutions, and drive improvements in controls and reporting.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with strong technical accounting.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile bank accounts and establish robust ongoing reconciliation process.
• Manage transaction processing with outsourced providers, including journals and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Produce monthly reporting documentation.
• Partner with outsourced suppliers to identify and implement improvements.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
• Identify enhancements to accounting processes and strengthen controls.
