Qualifikationen

• Monthly management accounts and commentary to explain budget, forecast, and prior year results.
• Balance sheet reconciliations and clearing aged items.
• Cost centre reporting and explaining numbers to budget holders.
• Monitor capital spend and report on it.
• Manage and develop a junior accountant and review their work.
• Automate processes and consider AI opportunities in finance.
• Support budgets, forecasts, VAT returns and ad hoc analysis.

Aufgaben

• Prepare monthly management accounts and accompanying commentary.
• Own balance sheet reconciliations and resolve aged items.
• Oversee cost centre reporting and discuss numbers with budget holders.
• Track capital spend against budget and report findings.
• Lead and develop an Assistant Accountant, setting priorities and reviewing work.
• Identify automation opportunities in processes and explore AI in finance.
• Assist with budgets/forecasts, VAT Returns, and ad hoc analyses.
