Job summary

An interim Lettings Officer is sought to join a social housing provider in Hertfordshire on an interim basis. The role will support the end-to-end voids and lettings process, ensuring properties are let efficiently, compliantly and within agreed turnaround targets.

The role involves coordinating voids and lettings, processing nominations, advertising, viewings and sign-ups, liaising with local authorities and applicants to ensure a smooth lettings process and assessing affordability and tenancy

Qualifications

• Experience in lettings, allocations or voids within social housing.
• Knowledge of housing allocations and relevant legislation.
• Experience with nominations and Choice Based Lettings systems.
• Strong organisational and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate voids and lettings activity from termination to sign-up.
• Process nominations and applications with fair allocation decisions.
• Advertise properties, manage shortlists and coordinate viewings.
• Liaise with local authorities, teams and applicants for smooth lettings.
• Complete pre-tenancy assessments considering affordability and suitability.
• Monitor turnaround times, maintain records and produce reports.
• Chair voids meetings and work to minimise delays and rental loss.
