An established industry player is seeking an interim HSE Manager to oversee health and safety across multiple sites in the UK. Currently recruiting for a interim HSE Manager to cover the UK sites on behalf of a large food manufacturing business, whilst they recruit the permanent counterpart. You will be the most senior HSE professional for the UK, heading up the centralised function with responsibility for 7 sites with a headcount of just over 400 people. Coaching and mentoring one direct report, supporting their development. To create and drive the Health and Safety strategy, to communicate it effectively at all levels and remain a hands on, visible leader, who will lead by example, bring a positive, energetic approach to the business and who can empower the sites.
We require someone who is commutable to Northamptonshire, where 3/7 sites are located and someone who is able to travel approx. 4 days a week, in particular to a site in the North West.
The role will be 80% H&S and 20% Environmental but as environmental and sustainability continues to become more important, this part of the role will likely increase.
What we are looking for:
Day rate on offer is £500 per day (DOE), this will be a 3 month contract initially which may be extended.
