Please note: This is a home-based role requiring travel across Cygnet Services within the North Region.

The Role

As part of the Health and Safety Team, you will support the development and implementation of the Health and Safety Strategy. You will promote a positive, collaborative culture by coaching and guiding the organization to meet high standards of Health and Safety.

Taking a hands-on approach, you will conduct regular leadership tours of our sites, fostering strong relationships and encouraging the development of Health and Safety standards to create safer environments for persons in our care, staff, and visitors.

You will ensure requests from your line manager (Group Head of Health and Safety) are addressed promptly while maintaining professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Report directly to your Line Manager and complete any reasonable requests related to your duties, providing regular updates.
• Participate in Health and Safety meetings across the organization, promoting a positive safety culture and offering advice and guidance.
• Conduct regular site visits across the North, performing Health and Safety leadership tours.
• Assist with managing, developing, implementing, monitoring, reviewing, and improving the organization’s Health and Safety management systems.
• Support Projects / Estates teams with compliance to CDM Regulations 2015.
• Provide timely advice on legislation and best practices across teams and activities.

The successful candidate must have a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent and hold technical membership of IOSH at minimum. An enhanced DBS check will be required.
