NET Recruit is partnering with a highly successful organisation in Dorset to appoint an Interim Financial Controller for an initial 3-month assignment. The role requires ownership of the finance function, strong control environment, and leadership across month-end, reporting, and cash flow.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in senior finance roles with ownership of the finance function.
• Strong month-end close experience and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems and producing senior-level management information.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day financial control function with accurate information.
• Lead month-end close, reconciliations, journals, accruals, prepayments, provisions.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts with analysis and commentary.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and KPIs; identify risks and opportunities.
• Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable with strong controls.
• Review aged debtors/creditors and support cash flow management.
• Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are complete and investigations completed.
• Provide financial insight to support commercial decisions.
• Prepare regular reports for senior management and stakeholders.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Review controls and implement improvements; ensure robust processes.
• Collaborate with operations to understand financial performance and guide decisions.
• Support audit requirements and maintain documentation and controls.
