Responsibilities:

As a Financial Controller, you will…

Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring accurate financial reporting and smooth daily operations.

Prepare and analyse monthly financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports.

Ensure full compliance with financial regulations and applicable accounting standards.

Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making and growth.

Oversee cash flow management, financial planning, and forecasting.

Implement and strengthen internal controls, financial processes, and systems.

Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors and stakeholders.

Partner with senior leadership to drive strategic and operational initiatives.

Requirements:

As a Financial Controller, you will need…

Proven experience in a Financial Controller role, ideally within an SME setting.

Strong understanding of UK accounting standards and regulatory frameworks.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).

Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) is preferred.
