The successful candidate will manage the preparation of accounts, improve financial processes, and lead a small team. This role requires on-site presence 5 days a week, with potential for part-time arrangements. Ideal candidates will be qualified or qualified by experience and ready to start immediately.

Job description

As Interim Financial Controller you will be responsible for managing the preparation of the accounts on a monthly basis, as well as looking at ways to improve current processes and add commercial value from a finance perspective to the operational side of the business. This is a temporary role for 3-6 months initially, with the chance of permanent for the right candidate.

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of the management accounts
• Processing of expenses and invoices
• Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Managing a small team of 2
• Spotting opportunities to improve current financial controls and processes and implementing improvements
  
  

This is a temporary role for 3-6 months and is based on-site 5 days per week.

My client would also consider taking someone on a part-time basis of 3-4 days per week - all working days would need to be on-site.

Profile

• Qualified / Qualified by Experience
• Hands-on experience / ability to roll your sleeves up and get involved in the transactional side of finance
• Available to start by the beginning of June at the latest
• Happy to be on-site between Canterbury and Dover 5 days per week
