Job summary

Newcastle Hospitals is seeking an Operating Systems Engineer (Interfaces) to join the Digital and Technology Services Interface Development team. The role involves developing, testing, deploying and supporting software interfaces used across the Trust, working closely with development, application support, service delivery and clinical/business teams.

Qualifications

• Possess a degree including courses in system integration or systems analysis OR has acquired core interfacing skills and knowledge via extensive practical experience
• MIRTH Connect certified
• Experience with MIRTH appliance administration
• Experience of using Linux
• Experience of Cerner Millennium

Responsibilities

• Maintain interfaces and purchased interface software, resolve problems and act as a technical liaison to users/vendors
• Support the Interface Development team and contribute to delivery of Trust digital projects
• Develop, test, deploy and support software used across the Trust
• Investigate issues and contribute to improvements, ensuring services remain resilient, secure and fit for purpose
• Balance project work with operational support and on-call responsibilities
