Job summary

Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Integration Engineer to design, develop and support the Trust's integration platform and interoperability services. You will connect complex clinical and corporate systems for secure, reliable data exchange, supporting digital transformation and national interoperability programmes.

Responsibilities include leading integration workflows, developing interfaces with HL7, FHIR, XML, REST, SOAP and MLLP, and ensuring

Qualifications

Specialist knowledge in designing, developing, and supporting interfaces using Integration Engines.
Experience with HL7, FHIR, XML, REST, SOAP, and MLLP protocols.
Degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related field; or equivalent IT operations experience.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development and implementation of complex integration workflows across clinical and operational needs.
Design, build and optimise interfaces to ensure secure data exchange using HL7, FHIR, XML, REST, SOAP and MLLP.
Ensure NHS interoperability, IG and GDPR compliance, and thorough testing including integration and regression.
Monitor performance, diagnose issues, and optimise integration engine processes for scalability and reliability.
Produce technical designs, SOPs and post-incident reports; maintain up-to-date documentation.
