Job summary

Bernicia is seeking an Intensive Housing Management (IHM) Worker to join our team at St Bedes House, Gateshead. This hands-on role focuses on tenancy sustainment, risk management and ensuring occupancy agreements are upheld; you'll support clients from move-in to move-on to permanent accommodation, with regular property checks and liaison with partner agencies.

Qualifications

• Good Standard of General Education, preferably with relevant professional qualification.
• Demonstrable experience of working in a housing related support service.
• Experience of delivering intensive housing management.
• Demonstrable experience of safeguarding practice.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Advanced IT skills, particularly with Microsoft packages.

Responsibilities

• Deliver intensive housing management to single homeless and couples based at St Bedes House, Gateshead.
• Carry out tenancy risk assessments and ensure occupancy agreements are understood and upheld.
• Monitor property conditions with regular checks; liaise with partner agencies to sustain tenancies.
• Support clients from move-in to move-on to permanent accommodation.
