Job summary

Birtwistle's is seeking an experienced Intake Manager with strong organisational and communication skills to lead the intake team and drive efficient warehousing operations in our busy site.

You will manage intake traceability, ensure timely receipt of goods, QA/QC against orders, and maintain stock control and rotation while supporting a performance-driven culture with clear SLAs and team development.

Qualifications

• Experience leading intake/warehousing teams and driving efficient operations.
• Strong communication and organisational skills with cross‑functional collaboration.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage changing priorities.

• Timely receipt of all goods/deliveries and control of the intake schedule
• QA/QC of all deliveries, ensuring the quality/weight is to agreed orders and specifications

• Stock rotation and stock management of all goods

Requirements

• Good communication skills and the ability to develop good working relationships with managers in other areas of the business to deliver the common goals of the business in terms of profitability and provision of agreed service levels to customers.
