Job summary

I2I Recruitment is hiring for an Insurance Operations Technician in the UK, focusing on processing standard and non-standard insurance transactions and documentation. You will manage your workload to meet SLAs, ensure accuracy, and work in a hybrid setup with 2 days in the office.

The role requires experience in insurance operations, a solid grasp of the policy lifecycle, and familiarity with London Market processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an insurance technician/technical processing role.
• Solid understanding of policy lifecycle and London Market processes.
• Experience with broking, claims, premiums and delegated authority.
• Excellent Excel skills and fluency with business systems.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Process standard and non-standard insurance transactions and documentation.
• Prioritise workload to meet SLAs and accuracy standards.
• Check documentation, data and management information for accuracy.
• Identify and resolve routine issues, escalating when needed.
• Provide guidance and training to less experienced team members.
• Collaborate with Technical and Broking teams and support data quality initiatives.

Must have's

• Experience in an insurance technician, technical processing or insurance operations role
• Good understanding of insurance principles and the policy lifecycle
• Knowledge of broking, claims, premiums and/or delegated authority
• Understanding of London Market processes and insurance distribution
• Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Confident using Excel and relevant business systems
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• CII Cert or equivalent technical knowledge/experience

Nice to have's

• Experience working within the London Market
• Experience checking or quality-controlling colleagues' work
• Experience supporting or training less experienced team members
• Knowledge of Power BI
• Understanding of the relationship between technical processing and IBA

• Process standard and increasingly non-standard insurance transactions and documentation
• Manage and prioritise your workload to meet SLAs, deadlines and accuracy standards
• Check documentation, data and management information for accuracy
• Identify and resolve routine issues, escalating where needed
• Carry out quality control checks on other technicians' work
• Support and train less experienced members of the team
• Identify errors, omissions and potential risks and recommend appropriate action
• Work closely with Technical and Broking teams and build strong internal relationships
• Get involved in projects, process improvements and data quality initiatives
• Adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a high level of service
