Job description

We're looking for a proactive Insurance Manager to take ownership of all insurance activity across the Devonshire Group. If you thrive on responsibility, love detail, and can juggle multiple deadlines while keeping everything running smoothly, this role is for you.

You’ll play a key role in protecting our diverse Group, working with supportive teams and brokers while shaping a robust insurance framework across the Devonshire Group.

About the role

Be the Devonshire Group's go-to expert for all insurance matters.

  • Lead annual insurance renewals and coordinate with brokers and internal teams.
  • Arrange inspections, valuations, surveys and insurer visits.
  • Manage all claims—both insured and below‑deductible—from start to finish.
  • Maintain accurate insurance schedules for property, vehicles, plant, equipment and more.
  • Support specialist cover for events, exhibitions, fine art and heritage assets.
  • Keep meticulous records and spot risks before they become issues.

This is a permanent, part‑time role working 15 hours per week; the working pattern will be agreed with the successful candidate.

What you will bring
  • Solid experience in commercial insurance coordination or administration.
  • Strong understanding of property, liability, motor and engineering insurance.
  • Confident handling claims, negotiations and annual renewals.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Exceptionally organised, detail‑focused and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with insurance or claims systems is a bonus.
  • Knowledge of heritage, arts or multi‑site environments—or willingness to learn.
