Forvis Mazars in the UK is seeking an Audit Assistant Manager for the Insurance team. You will lead insurance audits from planning to completion, supervise junior staff, manage client communications, and deliver high-quality, timely audit services.

Qualifications

• ACA/CA/ACCA (or equivalent) is required or expected.
• Experience leading external insurance audits and engagements.
• Ability to manage client relationships and reporting.
• Strong coaching/mentoring of junior staff.
• Up-to-date knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102/FRS 103), IFRS, and the Companies Act.
• Proactive, collaborative, commercially aware, with sound judgment.

Responsabilités

• Audit delivery: lead insurance audits from planning through completion.
• Plan and scope audits, manage resources and timelines.
• Apply UK GAAP/IFRS and Companies Act knowledge to audits.
• Draft key reporting outputs for review by Managers/Partners.
• Lead and supervise junior staff and provide feedback.
• Support growth of the insurance practice and client development.
• Ensure quality and regulatory compliance across files.
• Act as day-to-day client contact and manage communications.
• Monitor time and billing in line with plans.
• Collaborate with colleagues across service lines on firm initiatives.
