Job summary

Forvis Mazars in the UK is seeking an Audit Assistant Manager (Insurance) to join the Insurance audit team. You will lead multiple engagements from planning to completion, supervise junior staff, manage client communications, and ensure timely, high-quality audits.

Role requires ACA/CA/ACCA or equivalent, experience in external insurance audits, and strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS and the Companies Act. Hybrid working offered within a collaborative, inclusive firm.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/CA/ACCA or equivalent.
• Experience in external insurance audits and assurance engagements.
• Experience leading audit assignments from planning through completion.
• Supervising and coaching audit trainees and seniors.
• Up-to-date knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and Companies Act.

Responsibilities

• Audit delivery: manage insurance audits from planning to completion.
• Plan and scope audits, manage resources and timelines.
• Apply technical knowledge to audit assignments and escalate complex matters.
• Draft sections of reporting outputs and communicate with clients.
• Lead and supervise audit assistants and seniors on fieldwork.
• Coach junior team members and provide feedback.
• Ensure files meet quality and regulatory standards.
• Maintain client relationships and monitor billing aligns with plans.
• Collaborate with other service lines on firm initiatives.
