Job description

Our client, a leading company in the Oil & Gas industry, is currently seeking an experienced Instrument Technician to join their team. This is a contract opportunity based at the Fawley site in Southampton.

Key skills required for this role

Important

Previous instrumentation experience on a petrochemical site

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Carry out the installation, maintenance, and repair of various instruments and control systems
  2. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance
  3. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with instrumentation systems
  4. Calibrate and test instruments to ensure accuracy
  5. Follow health and safety guidelines and adhere to quality standards
  6. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed
  7. Collaborate with other technicians and departments to address operational needs
Job Requirements:
  1. Significant experience in instrumentation, ideally within the Oil & Gas industry
  2. Proficient in troubleshooting and maintenance of instruments and control systems
  3. Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices
  4. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  5. Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team
  6. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  7. Valid driver's license
