Job summary

Birdham CE Primary School is seeking a friendly and proactive Teaching Assistant to work across the school, supporting a class teacher in KS1/KS2 and aiding lunchtime supervision as a Midday Meals Supervisor. The role is term-time only, 32 hours per week, with a temporary contract for two years and potential to become permanent.

The successful candidate will inspire pupils, be well organized, and able to work as part of a small team within a church school ethos.

Qualifications

• Experience as a teaching assistant in a primary school.
• Experience supporting KS1 or KS2 pupils.
• Ability to support a class teacher and contribute to a Christian ethos.
• Willingness to work term-time only and across the school.

Responsibilities

• Support a class teacher in KS1/KS2 classes.
• Supervise midday meals and assist during lunch period.
• Contribute to safeguarding and pastoral support.
• Assist with planning and display preparation.
