Job summary

Millbrook CofE Primary School is seeking a proactive Teaching Assistant to join our caring team on a fixed-term basis. You will support pupils’ educational, personal and social development under the guidance of the Headteacher, SENCo and Class Teacher, including 1:1 SEN support.

The role also includes 3 hours of Lunchtime Supervisor duties, term-time only, contributing to a safe and supportive school community with a strong Church of England ethos.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in an educational setting.
• Training or experience in delivering Read Write Inc. phonics (where possible).
• Passionate about supporting children including SEN and 1:1 needs.
• Flexible, proactive and patient attitude.
• Able to communicate effectively within a team.
• Works well as part of a caring team under guidance of a Class Teacher.
• Recognises varying needs of learners and adjusts tasks accordingly.
• Contributes to our Church of England ethos.
• Builds strong relationships with parents, carers and the wider community.
• Brings creativity and enthusiasm to each new day.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the educational, personal and social development of children under direction from Headteacher, SENCo and Class Teacher including 1:1 SEN support.
• Provide lunchtime supervision and support during school hours as required.
• Assist with delivery of lessons and classroom activities while maintaining a safe, inclusive environment.
