Job summary

Bournebrook is seeking a part time SENDCo to cover maternity leave starting January 2027. You will join a small, friendly, dedicated team in a nurturing village school where inclusion is central and every learner can thrive.

The successful candidate will have QTS, NASENCO, SENDCo experience, and a track record of supporting SEN children aged 3–11, with strong communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Must have QTS and be registered as a teacher.
• NASENCO qualification or working towards it.
• SENDCo experience in a school setting.
• Experience supporting SEN children aged 3–11.
• Knowledge of government guidance on statements and EHC Plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead SENDCo duties for maternity cover, part time (one day per week flexible).
• Collaborate with headteacher and governing body to support inclusion.
• Coordinate communication within team and with families.
