Aspire People is seeking a Secondary SEN Teacher for a specialist setting in Surrey. The full-time role starts January 2027 or sooner for the right candidate, with competitive daily pay of 210–265 GBP, dependent on experience. You will work alongside teaching assistants and school staff to support pupils with SEN.

Applicants should have QTS or equivalent and prior experience with secondary pupils in SEN or inclusive settings. A nurturing, adaptable approach and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• This role requires experience teaching secondary-aged pupils with SEN.
• Experience working with pupils with SEN, either in specialist or mainstream inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for pupils with SEN.
• Adapt teaching to meet varying learning needs and abilities.
• Create a safe, structured, inclusive classroom environment.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Manage behaviour with consistent strategies to encourage progress.
• Assess pupil progress and adjust planning accordingly.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, SEN staff and leadership.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Comply with safeguarding and health & safety policies.
