Teaching Personnel are recruiting an SEN Teacher to join specialist SEN and SEMH secondary schools across Basingstoke. You will be a qualified teacher or have relevant teaching experience and be passionate about inclusive education for students with additional needs.

You will deliver engaging lessons, support students with SEN/SEMH, work with TAs and pastoral teams, and adapt strategies to a wide range of abilities.

Qualifications

• Be a qualified teacher (QTS) or have relevant teaching experience.
• Have experience working with, or a strong interest in supporting, SEN and SEMH students.
• Be patient, resilient and passionate about inclusive education.
• Have excellent communication and behaviour-management skills.
• Be committed to helping every student reach their individual potential.
• Have a nurturing, flexible and consistent approach to teaching.

Responsabilités

• Deliver engaging and accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Support secondary-aged students with SEN and SEMH needs.
• Create a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
• Work closely with teaching assistants, pastoral teams and other professionals.
• Build strong, positive relationships with students.
• Support students with their academic, social and emotional development.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet a wide range of abilities and additional needs.
• Promote confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
