Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking an experienced SEN Secondary Teacher to work across South London schools. You will plan and deliver lessons across year groups, supporting students with a wide range of needs and adapting lessons to EHCPs.

The role requires strong classroom and behaviour management, collaboration with SENCOs, and a commitment to inclusive education. The positions offer competitive daily rates with long-term and permanent opportunities, plus ongoing CPD and dedicated consultant

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Proven experience in SEN or specialist settings.
• Experience teaching secondary-aged pupils.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to teach across a range of subjects when required.
• Flexible, resilient and committed to meeting changing needs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across a range of subjects and year groups.
• Support students with SEN including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, SLD, and related needs.
• Adapt teaching strategies and EHCP-focused plans.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with SENCOs, support staff, therapists, and external agencies.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff, parents, and carers.
• Manage behaviour effectively using positive strategies.
• Promote independence and personal development.
